We are currently looking for a Project Manager/Translator (m/f). The job description follows:
RUSHITI & COLLEAGUES
Translator/Project Manager (m/f) in Berlin to strengthen our team starting from November 1, 2020 or later wanted,
Part-time (30 hours/week) or full-time (40 hours/week).
Rushiti Translation Agency is a small, centrally located translation agency in Berlin-Charlottenburg and a partner for both local and global customized solutions in the areas of translation and project management. Thanks to its well-established network, Rushiti Translation Agency is able to handle inquiries and projects worldwide quickly and efficiently. Over 350 registered freelance translators ensure seamless support in the field of translation.
We see ourselves as a competent partner when it comes to the translation of official documents (e.g., birth certificates, marriage certificates, name change certificates) or certificates (e.g., high school diplomas, bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, doctoral degrees), as well as the translation of legal texts (e.g., judgments, divorce decrees, indictments, police clearance certificates), notarial deeds, contracts or financial statements, reports, or multilateral agreements. Our clients therefore include not only lawyers and notaries, businesses, SMEs, government agencies, courts, public prosecutors' offices, and the police, but also private individuals.
Your tasks
• Translation of general and legal texts from your working language into German and vice versa.
• Preparation of certified translations
• Revision and proofreading of translations, quality control
• Development and maintenance of customer-specific terminology databases
• Evaluation of source code and creation of proposals, general project management
Your profile
• Mother tongue: German or another language
• Translation-oriented university/college degree (at least Bachelor's degree), alternatively, qualification as a state-certified translator specializing in law or economics
• Native or very good German language skills and preferably another EU language, ideally English, Spanish or French. Not a requirement.
• Experience as a translator in the field of legal translations, certified translations, business translations • Certification as a translator would be an advantage
• Very good PC skills
• Resilience, careful and independent work ethic
